
Chuck Sherrod
Professor and Ergonomist,
DC, MPH, CIE
Dr. Sherrod is a native San Franciscan who founded the Ergonomics Institute of Life College of Chiropractic West in Hayward, California in 2004, where he currently teaches undergraduate classes, as well as conducts research projects while writing grants and papers for peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Sherrod is a native San Franciscan who completed his undergraduate work at San Jose State University and subsequently received his Doctor of Chiropractic.
In 1981 he founded Mid Peninsula Chiropractic Clinic in Palo Alto and, after 12 years of providing the best possible aftercare for patients, Dr. Sherrod had a vision to start a company that focused on preventing various occupational injury and illnesses in the context of the ergonomics process with a holistic or systems approach. Dr. Sherrod returned to San Jose State at this time to complete a Masters Degree in Public Health and launch his new enterprise, OccuCom, Inc.
Recently, the company received the 5-Star Seal of Ergonomic Excellence from the Oxford Research Institute and teaches 3-Day Ergonomic Safety Management Certification Seminars with his consulting team members.
