
Dan Shafer

Dan Shafer is an Occupational Therapist (University of Wisconsin, 1991) and provisional Certified Industrial Ergonomist through the Oxford Research Institute.
Dan's background is in Assistive Technology. He spent several years at the Palo Alto VA Rehabilitation Research & Development Center presenting his research at the AOTA national conference. Then, later he founded the TransAccess (formerly DPI) Computer Access Technology Lab in San Jose, CA.
In 1999, he formed VocSolutions Inc., broadening his scope of services to include working with individuals with RSI in office, lab, industrial, and material handling settings. Dan and his colleagues at VocSolutions currently work with several large high-tech and biotech companies, helping them develop scalable ergonomics programs with demonstrable effectiveness and ROI.
